At some point in life many of us have to care for our parents or elderly loved ones who can no longer care for themselves. My name is Steve Wagh, founder of Assist Locators. During the past six years I’ve taken responsibility for five elderly family members in Austin – with a variety of mobility issues and illnesses, including heart problems, diabetes and dementia. Although online referral services offered names of senior communities, I realized each elder's situation was unique and needed closer examination. With dozens of communities or in-home care companies, and scores of service providers to choose from in the Austin area, the effort, time and stress to make the right decisions was considerable. Although I worked through these challenges independently, I wished I had someone to assist me --- one who would clearly understand the family situation, help me choose the right path, connect me with trustworthy service providers, and guide me through the entire process one step at a time. This is why I started Assist Locators. We will work with you, by your side, every step of the way, until your loved one is safely settled and you have more peace of mind.
